In Bishkek, on January 19, an employee of the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkek City Transport" from the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the city hall was detained. He was caught red-handed while receiving a bribe of 1 million soms.
According to the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), it was revealed that some employees of the procurement department of this municipal enterprise systematically demanded 10% of the tender amount, creating artificial obstacles and delaying the payment process for completed work.
As a result of the operational and investigative activities, an employee of the Municipal Enterprise with the initials A.K.Sh. was arrested and placed in custody in the GKNB detention center.
Currently, measures are being taken to legally assess the actions of the municipal officials, as well as to identify other individuals involved in this case.
