A corruption scheme related to the illegal distribution of land has been uncovered in the Talas region.
Special services reported that as a result of the forgery of resolutions from the local government, 43 citizens were unlawfully allocated land plots totaling 10 hectares and 75 acres in the territory of the Kara-Buura local government of the Aitmatov district.
It is noted that a total of 56 land plots were illegally allocated in a similar manner.
In connection with these facts, a specialist from the Aitmatov branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography, E.A.T., offered a bribe in cash to stop the investigation against him and avoid responsibility.
On January 20, 2026, E.A.T. was detained while handing over a bribe of 100,000 soms to an employee of the State National Security Committee as part of a criminal case initiated.
At present, the suspect is in a temporary detention facility, and investigative actions are being conducted to establish his involvement in the crime, as well as to identify other officials involved in the mentioned illegal activities.
