"Let Me Make a Call". In Bishkek, Lonely Passersby Were Robbed
The first incident occurred on January 12, when a resident of the capital reported an attack to the police. Around two o'clock in the morning, on Gorky Street, strangers approached him and stole his iPhone 13 ProMax.
A criminal case was initiated on this fact under Article 206 ("Robbery") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Soon, police officers detained three suspects: S.E., born in 2006, S.B., born in 2008, and Ch.A., born in 2010. They were placed in a temporary detention facility. The First May District Court ordered them to be held in custody for two months in pre-trial detention center No. 1.
According to the investigation, the criminals used a car with fake state license plates. They targeted lonely individuals and asked them to make a call, after which they used force to take their mobile phones and fled. During the detention, four phones obtained through criminal means were found in their possession.
Law enforcement agencies believe that the detainees may be involved in other similar crimes. The police urge anyone who has been a victim of these individuals or has any information to contact the following numbers: 0 (998) 81-04-06 or 102.
