According to the press service of the Interior Ministry of the Chui region, on January 20 at 09:53, a report was received at the duty unit of the Moscow district police about a fire in a silver "Volkswagen Golf 3." The car was located on the roadside in the eastern part of the village, near a lake.
Employees of the investigative-operational group arrived at the scene immediately and confirmed that there were two deceased individuals inside the vehicle. The driver was in the front seat, while the passenger was in the rear right seat.
The deceased were identified as the driver O.E., born in 2000 and residing in the village of Spartak, and the passenger T.S., a 10th-grade student born in 2010.
As reported by the Interior Ministry, O.E. purchased the car on January 11, 2026, at a car market. Two days later, he approached electrician S.S. with a problem regarding the malfunction of the left headlight. The electrician noted the extremely unsatisfactory technical condition of the vehicle, including exposed wires, the smell of gasoline, and smoke in the cabin, and warned the owner about the high degree of danger in further operation of the car.
Currently, the bodies have been sent to the morgue for examination, and the investigation is ongoing.
