The specialized bodies of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) have begun an investigation into statements made by a drunk man on social media.
According to the service, a man named Z.D.A., born in 1989, published materials that may incite interethnic hatred. In this regard, an explanatory conversation was held.
During the conversation, the citizen admitted that his actions were caused by alcohol intoxication and assured that he would not commit similar acts in the future.
“At the moment, the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic is conducting examinations on the materials published by Z.D.A. The results of these examinations will determine further measures in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan,” the press service reports.
The GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds of the possible criminal liability for actions aimed at inciting interethnic, interregional, and interracial hatred, including the use of social networks.
