The GKNB held preventive talks with a Kyrgyz citizen for his statements inciting interethnic hatred

On January 20, the press service of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported on a clarifying conversation held with Z.D.A., a man born in 1989. He came under the attention of law enforcement due to publications on social media that could incite interethnic hostility.

During the conversation, the citizen admitted that his statements were made while under the influence of alcohol and promised that he would not engage in similar actions in the future that could lead to serious consequences.

The SCNS also reported that relevant examinations would be conducted regarding the publications of the Kyrgyzstani citizen, based on which additional measures would be taken in accordance with current legislation.

In conclusion, the agency reminded that inciting interethnic, interregional, and interracial hatred is subject to criminal liability.
