Teacher Beat Student: The Boy's Parents Refused to File a Complaint

In Bishkek, at school No. 87, teacher K.D., born in 1983, was detained after an incident with a student that occurred during a lesson, reports the press service of the Sverdlovsk District Police Department.

Recently, a video appeared on social media capturing the moment when the teacher used physical force against her student.

Currently, a preliminary investigation is underway, expert examinations are being conducted, and all details of the incident are being clarified.

Based on the results of the investigation, a legal assessment of the actions will be provided in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The police reported that the parents of the injured student refused to file a complaint and have no claims against the teacher.

The investigation is ongoing.

The teacher stated that the incident occurred on January 14. "I explained the topic to the student several times, but he could not answer. I got angry and hit him. I apologize to the people of Kyrgyzstan and the student's parents," she noted.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education reported that work had begun in conjunction with the Ministry of Internal Affairs to clarify all circumstances of the incident. The Education Department of the Bishkek City Hall has created a special commission to investigate the situation at school No. 87.
