According to information from law enforcement agencies, in 2023, two citizens, S. A. and J. R., imported a Lexus RX 330 from Japan, declaring it as spare parts. To carry out the illegal registration and sale, they acquired a registration certificate for another vehicle of the same make, which had previously been damaged in an accident and belonged to N. I., and also forged notary documents.
According to the police, having conspired with a specialist from the state enterprise "Unnaa," J. B., the suspects submitted false documents. For a reward of $1,100, they managed to enter inaccurate data into the database, including the replacement of VIN codes. As a result of these actions, the vehicle was illegally registered and sold to an unsuspecting buyer for $7,000.
Additionally, the police department reported the existence of a scheme to evade customs duties, resulting in damage to the budget, the extent of which is still being determined.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Chui region regarding the abuse of official position in the illegal registration of the Lexus RX 330.
The criminal case has been initiated under Article 337 "Abuse of Official Position" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the specialist from the state enterprise "Unnaa," J. B., and citizen J. R. were detained. They have been placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigative actions are ongoing.
