A violation related to the illegal registration of a vehicle has been established in the Chui region, as reported by the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the region.
According to information from law enforcement agencies, two citizens — S.A. and J.R. — imported a Lexus RX 330 from Japan in 2023, declaring it as spare parts. To carry out the illegal registration and subsequent sale, they acquired a registration certificate for a damaged vehicle of the same make, which previously belonged to N.I., and also forged notarial documents.
Conspiring with a specialist from the State Enterprise "UNAA," J.B., they provided fake documents, which allowed them to enter false information into the database for a reward of 1,100 US dollars, including the replacement of VIN codes. As a result, the vehicle was illegally registered and sold to a new owner for 7,000 US dollars.
A scheme to evade customs duties was also implemented, resulting in damage to the state, the extent of which is currently being determined.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 337 (Abuse of Official Position) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Under Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Kyrgyzstan, specialists from the State Enterprise J.B. and citizen J.R. have been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. Further investigation is ongoing.
