Naryn Region in the Past Year: Almost 30,000 Traffic Violations and 29 Million Soms in Fines

Over the past year, 28,333 instances of traffic rule violations have been identified in the Naryn region.

This was reported by representatives of the Traffic Safety Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Naryn region during an operational meeting to summarize the activities for the 12 months of 2025.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Main Department for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Police Lieutenant Colonel Emil Jakypov, the Deputy Head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Naryn region, Police Colonel Rakhmat Murzakmatov, the Head of the Traffic Safety Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Naryn region, Police Lieutenant Colonel Nurbek Salymbaev, and his deputy, Police Lieutenant Colonel Bakyt Urmambetov, as well as heads of territorial subdivisions of the Traffic Safety Department and employees responsible for law enforcement practices.

During the meeting, it was reported that since the beginning of the year, inspectors in the region have identified a total of 28,333 traffic rule violations, with fines amounting to 29,833,641 soms collected for the state budget.

Identified violations:

• driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol — 801 drivers;


• speeding — 6,940 drivers;


• illegal tinting — 106 drivers;


• driving a vehicle without the necessary documents — 1,820 drivers;


• auto hooliganism — 51 drivers;


• disobedience to traffic signs — 8,172 drivers;


• violating overtaking rules by entering the oncoming lane — 689 cases;


• for various traffic rule violations, 4,214 vehicles were temporarily placed in impound lots.

During the meeting, E. Jakypov set tasks for the personnel of the Traffic Safety Department to conduct coordination meetings with representatives of local authorities to prevent traffic accidents, as well as to effectively organize work to ensure road safety.

In addition, the personnel were particularly emphasized the necessity of strict adherence to legality, polite treatment of drivers while on duty, and paying special attention to drivers who grossly violate traffic rules and create conditions for accidents, with the aim of enhancing preventive work to prevent traffic accidents.
