Batken: Over 50,000 Traffic Violations Detected in 2025
These figures were announced on January 12 during an operational meeting dedicated to summarizing the work of the traffic safety department of the Batken region's Internal Affairs Directorate for the past year.
Participants in the discussion included the Deputy Head of the Main Traffic Safety Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Police Lieutenant Colonel Aibek Jumagulov, the Head of the Batken region's Internal Affairs Directorate, Police Colonel Ulan Zhukenov, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Talaybek Namazbekov, Head of the Traffic Safety Department. Also present were heads of district and city departments and senior inspectors.
Since the beginning of the year, the traffic safety department in the Batken region has identified 50,909 traffic violations, which brought 66,517,670 soms in fines to the state budget.
List of identified violations:
driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol — 1,108 drivers;
speeding — 7,798 drivers;
illegal tinting of windows — 268 drivers;
driving without necessary documents — 1,824 drivers;
auto hooliganism — 63 cases;
failure to comply with traffic signs — 14,063 drivers.
“As a result of various offenses, 6,200 vehicles were placed in impound lots.
Instructions were also given for the digitization of processes, adherence to service discipline, ensuring legality and public order, as well as enhancing road safety.
It should be noted that in 2025, 41 people died in road traffic accidents in the region, which is one case less compared to 2024,” the press service reported.
