Ex-husband strangled and then inflicted fatal wounds on 28-year-old Takhmina from Suzak — this happened in front of her sister.

In the Jalal-Abad region, in the village of Suzak, a tragedy occurred: 28-year-old Takhmina Rustamzhan kyzy became a victim of her ex-husband.

According to Takhmina's family, four years have passed since their divorce, resulting in two children remaining — aged 10 and 8. The brother of the deceased expressed deep regret, noting that he tried to intervene to save his sister, but unfortunately, he was unable to do so.

Takhmina and her husband, known as D., married in 2015. Relatives claim that the first three years of their life together were calm, but soon constant conflicts began, leading to separations and reconciliations. Four years ago, D. filed for divorce, after which an obligation for child support was established between them. Takhmina settled in a rented apartment, where she lived with her older sister Sitoro.

The family reports that on January 2 of this year, the ex-husband returned from Russia and came to see Takhmina. The next day, he attacked her with a knife.

The sister of the deceased recalled that Takhmina had told her about the visit from her ex-husband and his threats. She suggested that her sister go stay with relatives for a while, but Takhmina refused. On January 3, 2026, the man came again, behaving peacefully and claiming that he loved her and wanted to take her back to Russia. However, Takhmina replied that she would not go without the children and did not wish to restore their relationship. He suggested leaving the children with his mother, but Takhmina pointed out that her mother-in-law would not be able to take care of them, adding that their life together was impossible both by religious and legal standards.
After that, a conflict began. The sister reported that her ex-husband had tried to strangle Takhmina twice. She attempted to intervene, but the third time, when Takhmina fell, the man pushed her sister away and attacked her again, dragging her into a room. The sister tried to stop him but could not prevent his actions. She ran outside for help, stopped a passing car, and asked for assistance. When they returned with people, they realized it was already too late. Relatives called an ambulance and the police. Takhmina was lying in a pool of blood. The sister could not believe that she was dead and hoped that she could be saved.

According to her, the ex-husband had brought a knife with him in advance, leaving the children with his mother before committing the crime.

Takhmina's mother, Mukadam Nuralieva, was working in Russia at the time. On the day of the tragedy, Takhmina informed her that her ex-husband was demanding to take her to Russia and was causing a scene. Communication with her was interrupted. “Four years have passed since the divorce. He did not pay child support and continued to come, claiming that he wanted to live with her. In Russia, he married and divorced twice. Although my daughter did not remarry for the sake of the children. That day she told me that he insisted on leaving with him. I suggested coming to talk, but they quarreled, and communication was cut off. Later, I was informed that Takhmina was in a coma, and I urgently left for Kyrgyzstan. But it turned out that she had already been killed. He must be punished. The children suffer the most. Now there are rumors that my daughter had another man. This is not true — she lived for the sake of the children,” said Takhmina's mother.

According to relatives, Takhmina sustained 11 stab wounds.

As reported by the press service of the Jalal-Abad Regional Internal Affairs Directorate, on January 3, 2026, a call was received at the Suzak District Police Department from a resident born in 1990, who stated that during a conflict, he killed his wife, born in 1997.

This incident was registered in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Suzak District Police Department under Article 122 (“Murder”) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and a criminal case has been initiated.
