Disorder Against Disorder. Iranian Authorities Called on Their Supporters to Come Out

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the nation via television, urging citizens to take to the streets to "prevent radicals from distorting the demands of the protesters."

According to the Al Mayadeen television channel, Pezeshkian accused the United States and Israel of attempting to destabilize the situation in the country, which has led to the current protests.

The president also emphasized the need to continue economic reforms to meet the initial demands of the protesters. He urged the youth to refrain from participating in riots and noted that society would not accept those who attacked mosques.

According to the human rights organization HRANA, at least 544 people have died during the protests in Iran, including 483 protesters, 47 military personnel and law enforcement officers, 1 official, 8 minors, and 5 civilians not participating in the actions.

HRANA also reports that they have information about another 579 deaths, but this requires confirmation.

Recent data shows that protests are occurring in 585 locations across Iran, covering 186 cities and 31 provinces, with the number of detainees exceeding 10,000 people.

It is worth noting that the country has been without internet for over 80 hours. Mass protests, which began due to the economic crisis and devaluation of the national currency, have been ongoing since late December 2025.
