In Osh, a suspect was detained for stealing a mobile phone from a 14-year-old girl.

According to the Interior Department of the city of Osh, a resident of Osh, B.Z., born in 1986, reported to law enforcement. She stated that on December 30, 2025, at approximately 15:30, on the lower floor of the "Max-Kom" shopping center, located on A. Shakirov Street in Osh, an unknown individual stole her daughter T.M.'s mobile phone, born in 2012, from her pocket. The phone is a "Redmi 13." This incident was registered in the electronic log of information, after which verification and investigative measures began.

As a result of operational-search activities conducted by the employees of the criminal investigation department of the Ak-Buurin police department of the city of Osh, a resident of the Uzgen district, E.A., born in 1997, was detained.

It was established that he sold the phone in the "Max-Kom" shopping center to one of the individuals engaged in the sale of mobile phones for 5,000 soms, and he spent the money on personal needs. Four more criminal cases have been initiated against the detainee for similar incidents. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility.

According to the police, the man has been convicted five times and was released from prison in November 2024.
