In Bishkek, a suspect in the theft of money and jewelry has been detained

Law enforcement officers in the capital have detained a man suspected of stealing cash and jewelry from a private residence. According to the press service of the Interior Ministry of the Pervomaisky District of Bishkek, the incident occurred on January 6.

On October 15, 2025, a woman named K.G. reported to the police. She stated that on that day, an unknown man, who introduced himself as "T.", unlawfully entered her home on Koenkozov Street. From there, he secretly stole 1,000 US dollars and a Cartier gold bracelet adorned with six diamonds of 750 purity, valued at 370,000 soms, and then fled the scene of the crime.

As a result of the incident, a criminal case was opened under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning theft.

During the course of operational search activities, police officers were able to identify the suspect and detain him — he turned out to be J.T., born in 1989. He was taken to the Investigative Service of the Interior Ministry of the Pervomaisky District and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department.

Currently, law enforcement agencies are investigating the possible connection of the detainee to other similar crimes. The investigation is ongoing.
