A Minor Who Stole a Car Detained in Bishkek

On January 5, 2026, a report was received about the theft of a BYD car in the Sverdlovsk district of Bishkek on line 102.

Patrol police officers promptly arrived at the scene. As a result of their quick response, they were able to locate the stolen vehicle. The driver, realizing the illegality of his actions, attempted to flee, which led to a chase.

Despite the police's demands to stop, the car thief continued to run, eventually reaching a canal and jumping into the water. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the UPMSM staff, he was apprehended.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the car theft was committed by a minor. In this regard, appropriate procedural actions are being taken in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
