Fire in the Nursing Home. A Criminal Case has been Initiated

A criminal case has been initiated in Bishkek regarding the fire at the nursing home, as reported by the Internal Affairs Department of the Pervomaisky District.

Currently, a fire-technical examination has been appointed, and the investigation is being conducted under the article concerning "Violation of fire safety rules" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Recall that the incident occurred on January 6 in the palliative care unit, where a fire broke out. As a result of the tragedy, two severely ill residents died.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, four fire crews and an operational headquarters were involved in extinguishing the fire. The fire was extinguished; however, 11 people were hospitalized as a result of the incident, including one firefighter.
