Former municipal inspector fined 5500 soms

A recent video that went viral on social media captured two men drinking alcoholic beverages and urinating at the intersection of Sadyrbaev and Southern Highway in Bishkek, right in the parking area.

According to information provided by the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District, this incident was recorded in the automated information system of the Housing and Utility Inspection (ZUI). As a result, police officers brought two individuals to the department, identified as B.K. and I.R., both born in 1975.

Protocols were drawn up against the men under Article 126 of the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on offenses related to petty hooliganism. In accordance with the decision of the Lenin District Court, both offenders were fined 5,500 soms.

On January 4, the head of the Municipal Inspection, Mirlan Taalaibekov, stated that a service investigation had been initiated regarding the incident.

“The actions of this employee will be assessed from a legal standpoint, as they undermine the authority and image of our service. Depending on the results of the investigation, disciplinary and legal measures will be taken, up to and including dismissal,” Taalaibekov noted.

On January 5, it became known that the mentioned employee of the municipal inspection had been dismissed from his position.
