On April 7, 2026, a meeting of border representatives from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan took place as part of an initiative by the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the Border Service of the KR, the event was held at the "Boz Adyr" border post of the Batken Border Detachment, where the border representative of Kyrgyzstan responsible for the Batken section met with his Uzbek counterpart in charge of the Sokh section.

During the meeting, practical sessions were organized on the topic "Behavioral Line of Border Guards on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek State Border." The plan for joint work in 2026 was also clarified, and the dates for joint patrols were determined.

The discussion took place in a constructive atmosphere; the participants noted the importance of maintaining stability in the region and expressed their readiness to strengthen good-neighborly relations at the border.
