President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov has approved the Law "On the Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on Readmission," which was signed on September 29, 2025, in Minsk.
This law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on March 5, 2026.
The main goal of the Law is to carry out the necessary domestic procedures so that the Agreement signed in Minsk can enter into force.
The Agreement aims to simplify the process of accepting individuals who are illegally present in the territory of one of the parties, as well as to organize the transit of individuals subject to expulsion in accordance with international norms.
Furthermore, the authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Belarus will have the opportunity to interact more effectively on issues related to readmission and the transit of individuals who are on the territory of the other party without permission.
The law will come into effect ten days after its official publication.
