The honorary consulate of Montenegro has opened in Kyrgyzstan

As part of the official visit of Ervin Ibrahimovic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, the honorary consulate of this country was opened in Kyrgyzstan.

At the ceremony, which was attended by a delegation from Montenegro, representatives of the business community, and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, it was emphasized that the consulate is intended to become a "practical bridge" for strengthening ties between the two countries.

Beknazar Asanov, appointed as the honorary consul, stated that one of the priority tasks of the consulate will be the development of economic cooperation. In this regard, he noted that active work is planned to establish direct contacts between entrepreneurs of both countries.

"The work will focus on attracting Kyrgyz businessmen to Montenegro and Montenegrin businessmen to Kyrgyzstan. Currently, there is already interest from several investors from Montenegro in our country. A bilateral business forum is scheduled to take place soon, along with the opening of direct flights. Considering the already established air connections with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, creating a similar route to Kyrgyzstan will contribute to the development of tourism and simplify business relations. Moreover, the Montenegrin side is interested in investing in the construction of small hydropower plants, the construction sector, and manufacturing industries. In these areas, we plan to intensify our cooperation. Currently, negotiations are underway between the chambers of commerce of the two countries to expand mutual interaction," added Asanov.
