Kyrgyzstan and Austria Agree on Regular Flights and Increase in Air Cargo Transportation

- On March 19, a meeting took place in Bishkek, during which representatives of the State Agency of Civil Aviation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Federal Ministry of Innovation of the Republic of Austria discussed issues related to air communication.

On the agenda was the final stage of negotiations on the draft Agreement on Air Communication, which is intended to unite the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Austria.

During the discussion of key aspects of the project, the participants reached a final version of the document that opens new horizons for air communication between the two countries.

This agreement will create the necessary legal framework to promote the development of regular flights, increase the volume of passenger and cargo transportation, as well as strengthen business, cultural, and tourist ties between Kyrgyzstan and Austria.

Note:

On September 25, 2025, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in Montreal between the State Agency of Civil Aviation of Kyrgyzstan and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Innovation, Mobility, and Infrastructure, aimed at developing partnership and exchanging experience in the field of aviation regulation.

On December 18, 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Vienna between "Vienna Airport" and OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," aimed at establishing friendly relations, developing cooperation between airports, as well as conducting training and exchanging best practices in the management and servicing of aviation infrastructure.
