The Prosecutor's Office of the city of Suluktu has initiated an investigation following a report from one of the employees of the city department of labor, social protection, and migration, posted on social media. During the investigation, it was established that there was an illegal collection of significant amounts of money from employees.
As investigators found out, the head of this department, I.R., organized the collection of money from employees with the aim of subsequently transferring these funds to an inspector of the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic. The funds were collected via an electronic wallet, reports the General Prosecutor's Office.
In connection with the identified circumstances, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 337 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning abuse of office. Currently, investigative actions regarding this case are ongoing.
