In a phone conversation that took place on March 16, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, addressed his Kazakh counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Japarov congratulated Tokayev on the successful conduct of the referendum concerning the new draft Constitution of Kazakhstan.
He noted that this voting demonstrated an active civic stance and the trust of the people in state institutions. The high voter turnout reflected support for the reforms and changes taking place in the country.
