This law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on February 26, 2026, and signed by the president on March 11 of the same year.
As part of this document, the exchange notes between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the government of Japan, as well as the grant agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), were ratified.
The signing of both documents took place on December 12, 2025, in Bishkek.
The aim of the project is to improve the connectivity of the Bishkek—Osh highway with the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has been instructed to notify the Japanese side about the completion of the necessary domestic procedures for the agreements to come into force.
The law will enter into force 10 days after its official publication, which took place on March 13, 2026, in the newspaper "Erkin Too" (issue 19).
