The volume of industrial production in January - February 2026 amounted to 147.8 billion soms
According to preliminary data, the growth in the industrial sector was achieved thanks to increased production in areas such as chemical and pharmaceutical products, rubber and plastic products, construction materials, as well as wooden and paper products. There was also noted growth in printing activities, vehicle production, refined petroleum products, food and tobacco products, and basic metals, along with an increase in mineral extraction.
However, it is worth noting that there is a decline in the supply of electricity, gas, and steam, which is related to a decrease in electricity production.
In the agricultural sector, the gross agricultural output for January-February 2026 amounted to 29 billion soms, which is 2.6% more than in the same period last year, thanks to growth in livestock production.
As for the construction sector, the gross output amounted to 18 billion soms, increasing by 23.2%. This growth is explained by an increase in investments in fixed capital.
The volume of trade, both wholesale and retail, in January-February 2026 amounted to 303.4 billion soms, which is 11.4% more than in the previous year.
