The parliamentary groups "Ishenim" and "Ala-Too" heard information about the situation in the healthcare sector
During a joint meeting of the parliamentary factions "Ala-Too" and "Ishenim," information was presented about the activities of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, according to a statement from the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh.
The director of the health department, Tilek Mamadaliev, emphasized key indicators of the national healthcare system, issues related to increasing medical salaries, as well as the development of medical institution infrastructure and improvement of the material and technical base. He also spoke about the implementation of new technologies in the sector, including organ transplantation programs.
Additionally, Mamadaliev addressed the issue of staffing in healthcare. "As of January 1, 2026, the healthcare system had 12,384 doctors and 28,934 specialists with secondary medical education. Compared to 2024, the staffing level has decreased. The most acute shortage is observed in professions such as family doctors, therapists, pediatricians, obstetricians-gynecologists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, and specialists in sanitary-epidemiological profiles," he noted.
During the discussion, Deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov emphasized the need to build a 100-bed hospital in the Kara-Kulzhinsky district of the Osh region, highlighting the importance of improving access to medical services for the population. Deputy Baktyyar Kalpaev proposed the construction of a new hospital building in the Orozbekovsky ayil okmotu of the Kadamjai district and increasing the number of ambulances. Deputy Ismanali Joroev stressed the need to improve the quality of medical services in the Batken region.
Deputy Zhyldyz Kurmanalieva raised the issue of opening rehabilitation centers for children with autism and other disorders, as well as the need to expand access to services from speech therapists and audiologists. Gulkan Moldobekova appealed to the Ministry of Health to support the initiation of liver transplant operations at the National Surgical Center named after M. Mamakeev, noting the readiness of specialists and the availability of necessary equipment. "Now it is necessary to purchase medicines and medical supplies," she added.
Gulnara Akimbaeva emphasized the importance of simplifying medical examination procedures for children with disabilities.
Group leader "Ala-Too" Talaybek Masabirov and Deputy Nilufar Alimjanova highlighted the increase in cancer cases and called for improvements in early diagnosis and treatment in this area.
Information was also presented at the meeting about the construction of social infrastructure facilities across the country. Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakai Turdugulov addressed this issue.
During the discussions, deputies emphasized the development of social infrastructure, highlighting the importance of completing construction work on time. They noted the need for rational use of budgetary funds, as well as attracted grants and loans.
Nurbek Sydygaliev, head of the "Ishenim" group, proposed monitoring the construction of hospitals in the Jumgal and Toguz-Toro districts within the ARIS program and raised the issue of the operation of "El-Aman" pharmacies in the regions.
Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Bakai Turdugulov provided information on the progress of constructing social facilities such as schools and hospitals in the republic.
Deputies again emphasized the issues of social infrastructure development, stressing the need to complete construction within the established deadlines and the rational use of allocated budget funds, grants, and loans.
