A resident of the city of Shopokov, born in 1990 and named D.T., filed a complaint with the Sokuluk District Internal Affairs Department on October 27, 2025. In his statement, he reported that on May 15, 2025, a citizen named T.R. gained his trust and, taking advantage of this, offered to exchange his KIA Morning car for a more expensive model, the KIA K7, while swindling him out of 2500 US dollars.
After the transaction, T.R. registered the obtained KIA K7 with the leasing company "Unaa Leasing," and then took the car back without fulfilling his obligations and without returning the money. He began to avoid communication with D.T.
In connection with the above-described incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On March 13, 2026, as a result of operational-search activities, police officers detained the suspect T.R., born in 1991, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and placed him in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, an investigation is underway to check for the possible involvement of the detained individual in other similar crimes. The investigation is ongoing.
