The law enforcement authorities have detained a man suspected of fraud related to a car exchange. This information was provided by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region.
According to available data, on October 27, 2025, a resident of the city of Shopokov, D.T., born in 1990, approached the local police station. He reported that on May 15, 2025, a friend, having gained his trust, offered to exchange his KIA Morning for a KIA K7, while additionally receiving 2500 dollars.
After the deal was completed, the suspect registered the KIA K7 with the company "Unaa Leasing" and then took the car. However, he did not return the money and failed to fulfill his obligations under the contract, after which he stopped communicating.
Based on these events, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On March 13, 2026, during operational-search activities, T.R., born in 1991, was detained. The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, an investigation is being conducted into his possible involvement in other similar crimes. The investigation is ongoing.
