On March 12, 2026, an event was organized in the Ton district for the release of fry of Issyk-Kul trout into the rivers flowing into Lake Issyk-Kul, by employees of the Regional Acclimatization and Fish Breeding Department (Station) under the Department of Fisheries Complex.
This initiative took place with the participation of representatives from the Ton District State Administration, the Tourist-Ecological Police, as well as scientific specialists from the Institute of Biology of the National Academy of Sciences and employees of the Issyk-Kul State Reserve.
A total of 582,000 trout fry were released as part of the stocking of the lake.
Distribution by rivers:
• Ak-Terek — 80,000
• Ton — 150,000
• Kekilik — 50,000
• Tamga — 50,000
• Jeti-Ögüz — 50,000
• Karakol — 50,000
• Kara-Suu — 32,000
• Jyrgalan — 60,000
• Tyup — 60,000
