The Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan reports progress in the construction and modernization of energy facilities in the Chui region.
Currently, work has begun on the construction of the second phase of the "Kun-Tuu" substation with a capacity of 250 MVA 110/35/10 kV. This project includes the installation of a 25 MVA power transformer, which will increase the total capacity of the substation to 50 MVA and significantly expand its throughput capabilities.
The following activities are planned during the construction works:
— installation of a 110 kV circuit breaker;
— installation of 110 kV disconnectors;
— installation of 7 units of KRU;
— installation of 110 kV voltage and current transformers;
— installation of grounding devices;
— installation of surge arresters at the 110 kV level.
These activities are aimed at improving the reliability of electricity supply for consumers, increasing the capacity of the substation, and promoting the sustainable development of the energy infrastructure in the Chui region. The completion of the work is planned for the end of this year.
