Erlis Akunbekov met with the Ambassador of Korea in Kyrgyzstan

Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Erlis Akunbekov held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Kyrgyzstan, Kim Kwang-dae. This information was officially confirmed by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the discussion, the participants reviewed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea in various fields, with an emphasis on agriculture and water resource management.

Issues regarding the preparation of a number of bilateral documents, which are planned to be considered at a high-level international event scheduled for this year, were also addressed at the meeting.

It was emphasized that cooperation between the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea is actively developing in four main areas: livestock, seed production, food security, and water resource management. The parties discussed opportunities for the implementation of new joint projects.

Lim So-youn, head of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) office in Kyrgyzstan, and Kwang Seok Chu, director of the Korea International Agricultural Program (KOPIA) center in Kyrgyzstan, who attended the meeting, expressed gratitude for the successful implementation of numerous projects and for the current cooperation, as well as confirmed their readiness for further interaction.

In conclusion, Erlis Akunbekov and Kim Kwang-dae agreed to continue productive cooperation and further develop mutually beneficial partnerships.
