As a result of the joint efforts of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKNB KR) and international partners, an attempt by a minor student to prepare an armed attack on students and teachers at one of the schools in the capital was uncovered. This action led to the initiation of a criminal case under Article 252, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the threat of committing an act of terrorism, according to information from the GKNB.
The State National Security Committee also emphasized the importance of preventive measures in light of the observed cases of religious radicalization among youth. In this regard, the GKNB urges parents and educators to actively engage in educational work with children and to closely monitor their interests and hobbies in open sources of information.
