At the parliamentary meeting, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliev, congratulated the women deputies on the upcoming International Women's Day on March 8 on behalf of all male deputies.
He emphasized the importance of women's roles in the family and wished them health, happiness, and joy.
“Women actively participate in various fields, contributing to the development of the country. It is especially noteworthy that women deputies play a significant role in legislative activities. Recently, the president signed a decree introducing a gender quota in government bodies, according to which the share of one gender should not exceed 70% in the staff composition. This is an important support for women,” Mamataliev added.
