Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliyev made a statement about the inadmissibility of dividing deputies into "ours" and "theirs," and emphasized the importance of unity in parliament.
He noted that this position was also voiced by the country's president, who called for consolidation and objectivity in work. Mamataliyev also reported that after his election to the position of speaker, he instructed the parliament's apparatus to ensure equal conditions for all deputies.
“There should be no divisions in our parliament, whether they are regional or personal preferences. All 90 deputies must work as a united team,” the speaker emphasized.
Additionally, he added that when distributing responsibilities and appointments, one should focus on professional qualities rather than affiliation with a specific region or political group.
“If a person is capable of performing their job effectively, decisions should be based solely on their professional skills,” Marlen Mamataliyev added.
The speaker also noted that many deputies raised the issue of the importance of unity and cohesion during the meeting. He emphasized that the Kyrgyz people have always highly valued consensus, which in turn contributes to the joint work of parliament for the benefit of the country's development.
