Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration of Kyrgyzstan, held a meeting with representatives of Edelweiss Group AG, as reported by the press service of the Cabinet.
During the discussions, representatives of Edelweiss Group AG expressed interest in attracting international investments and financing significant infrastructure projects in the country.
The possibilities of attracting both private and legal entities from Europe to banking and corporate services in the context of the free economic zone and the "Edelweiss" bank were discussed. It was mentioned that the creation of a free economic zone is considered a priority in the area where the OJSC "Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory" is located. Projects in the processing industry and energy will be financed using European technologies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Kasymaliev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is ready to cooperate with entrepreneurs interested in investments, provided that national laws are observed. He also instructed the relevant state authorities to begin work on implementing the proposals voiced at the meeting.
