Foreign company offers to open a special economic zone on the territory of the plant in Mailuu-Suu

Representatives of Edelweiss Group AG met with Adylbek Kasymaliev, as reported by the government press service. During the meeting, plans were discussed to attract international investors for financing infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan.

According to information from the press service, the company is interested in cooperating with private and legal entities from European countries to provide banking and corporate services within the framework of the new free economic zone and the Edelweiss bank. The creation of such a zone is primarily considered based on the OJSC "Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory," where the use of European technologies and financing for the implementation of projects in processing and energy is planned.





At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized Kyrgyzstan's openness to cooperation with investors, provided that local legislation is adhered to. Kasymaliev instructed government agencies to develop the necessary measures for implementing the proposals voiced during the negotiations.
