- In February of this year, the Jogorku Kenesh will focus on a bill that proposes to limit amendments to the codes to once a year. This initiative has already been included in the parliamentary work calendar.

The document is titled "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic Regarding the Frequency of Amendments."

The initiator of this bill is the Ministry of Justice, which notes in the accompanying memorandum that "introducing a norm that limits the frequency of changes to the codes is an important step towards enhancing the stability and resilience of legal regulation in the country, which, in turn, will create a legislative practice focused on long-term goals."

The planned changes will affect 17 different codes, including:

? Administrative Procedure Code of the KR;

? Budget Code of the KR;

? Water Code of the KR;

? Air Code of the KR;

? Civil Code of the KR;

? Civil Procedure Code of the KR;

? Housing Code of the KR;

? Land Code of the KR;

? Code of the KR on Children;

? Code of the KR on Non-Tax Revenues;

? Code of the KR on Offenses;

? Forest Code of the KR;

? Family Code of the KR;

? Labor Code of the KR;

? Criminal Executive Code of the KR;

? Criminal Procedure Code of the KR;

? Criminal Code of the KR.

It is important to note that these restrictions will not apply in cases where amendments are made based on the directive of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic or by the decision of the Constitutional Court of the KR.
