The Jogorku Kenesh reviewed in the first reading a draft law aimed at improving the system of mandatory housing insurance.

At today's meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, held on February 26, the deputies discussed and approved in the first reading a draft law concerning amendments to a number of legislative acts of the Kyrgyz Republic. In particular, the amendments affect the Civil Code and the law on "Mandatory Insurance of Residential Premises Against Fire and Natural Disasters."
The draft law was presented by the Chairman of the State Service for Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Marat Pirnazarov.
He noted that the main task of the draft law is to improve the system of mandatory insurance for housing against various natural and man-made disasters.
The purpose of this legislative act is to increase the financial stability of the insurance system, as well as to ensure reliable protection for citizens. The law should guarantee the timely payment of insurance claims.
