The developer was carrying out work with significant deviations from the planning parameters, and the updated project was not presented at the meetings of the urban council. Instead of the promised restoration of the fountains and preservation of the architectural appearance of the square, the installation of permanent metal structures began on the specified site. This was classified as a serious violation of urban planning regulations.
The city administration plans to complete the cleanup of the area and restore it to its original state, with the restoration of the fountain composition as a mandatory condition. Previously, the management of the shopping center made public promises to preserve the fountains; however, the actual work raises doubts about the fulfillment of these commitments.
All costs for carrying out the work with special equipment and forced demolition will be borne by the developer. City services will continue their work until the site is completely cleared of construction materials and debris.
