In the CIS, mutual recognition of accreditation of conformity assessment bodies is being discussed.
Representatives from national accreditation bodies participated in the meeting from:
The Republic of Belarus,
The Kyrgyz Republic,
The Russian Federation,
The Republic of Uzbekistan,
The Republic of Tajikistan,
The Executive Committee of the CIS and the Bureau of Standards.
The main topic of discussion was a draft document titled "Regulations on Conducting Peer Evaluations of Accreditation Bodies of the States Parties to the Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies."
The participants expressed the opinion that the developing document should serve as a framework act that establishes general principles for conducting peer evaluations.
Work on this document will continue in the established manner.
In the territory of the EAEU, there is also a system for mutual recognition of certificates from conformity assessment bodies. For this purpose, there is a Unified Register managed by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
As of early 2026, 92 organizations from Kyrgyzstan are registered in the register, each of which has its own operational status.
