The establishment of the new control point is aimed at enhancing road traffic safety, monitoring compliance with weight and dimensional standards for freight vehicles, as well as preventing premature wear of roadways.
These measures will also positively impact the fight against illegal and excessive freight transportation, thereby supporting road infrastructure and strengthening order in the transport sector.
In addition, a phased major repair of existing transport control points across the country is planned, especially in areas where such work has not been carried out for many years.
Funding for these construction and repair activities will be provided from the Stabilization Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic.
