Kyrgyzstan has banned the export of catalysts and precious metals for six months
This resolution has been signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The main goal of this decision is to protect human health and safeguard the environment, as well as flora and fauna, which implies reducing the level of air pollution from vehicle emissions.
As noted in the statement, "the catalyst is one of the most valuable components of a vehicle's exhaust system, and its cost can account for up to 13% of the total price of the vehicle. Recently, there has been an increase in cases of theft and removal of catalysts from vehicles for the purpose of resale to obtain significant profits."
