Deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov expressed the concerns of the residents of the Kara-Kulja district during a plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 19, 2026. They are dissatisfied with the insufficient daily limit on electricity consumption.

Omurzakov proposed setting limits that take into account the unique climatic and geographical conditions of each district.
In response, Deputy Minister of Energy Nasipbek Kerimov explained that the limits are developed by the Scientific Institute under the Ministry of Energy, which conducts research considering all the characteristics of the area.
If residents continue to face difficulties, they can contact the institute directly to address their issues.

At this time, the draft law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Electric Power Industry," which was presented for its first reading, was also being considered.
