At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Speaker Marlen Mamataliyev spoke about plans to implement digital technologies in the work of the parliament. According to him, deputies face the problem of timely familiarization with the abundance of incoming materials and draft laws.
“When documents arrive on Friday, deputies do not have the opportunity to study them before Monday, when committee meetings take place. Therefore, we plan to implement digitization. We have already begun the process of purchasing 90 tablets, which will be issued to deputies. Every Friday, materials will be provided in electronic form, and four categories of folders will be organized: for plenary sessions, committees, deputy groups, and various issues,” he emphasized.
In addition, the speaker noted that the participation of representatives from ministries and agencies in committee meetings will also be optimized. If a minister is unable to attend, there will be an option for online connection.
There are also plans to improve the work of the public reception office, where an online reception for citizens will be organized, which will eliminate the need for trips to the regions. Five reception offices for deputy groups are planned to be opened near the parliament building, as well as rooms for mothers and children to ensure comfortable waiting conditions for visitors.
