During the meeting, Kasymaliev emphasized that the new minister faces a number of tasks, including the modernization and development of transport infrastructure, improving the quality of logistics and communication services, as well as implementing key strategic projects.
Talantbek Soltobaev was appointed as the acting Minister of Transport and Communications by the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, who also instructed to prepare his candidacy for approval in the Jogorku Kenesh. From 2021 to 2026, Soltobaev held the positions of Deputy and First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications.
Previously, since July 2024, the ministry was headed by Absattar Syrgabaev.
