Torture was applied, patient deaths confirmed: The State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic identified three illegally operating rehabilitation centers in Bishkek

During the investigation related to the illegal activities of rehabilitation centers in Bishkek, three more establishments were closed: "Idalgo," "Resolution," and "Bishkek-Maik." The same violations were found in these centers as in other similar institutions. This was reported by the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKNB).

Among the identified violations were the use of improper treatment methods by the leaders and staff of the rehabilitation centers. They employed physical force, electric shock devices, tied patients to furniture, and placed them in isolated rooms, leading to serious physical and psychological injuries.

In addition, psychotropic substances banned for circulation were found and seized in the centers, which were used in the treatment of patients.

As a result of the operations conducted, seven individuals were detained, including "E.u.Ch.," "K.K.B.," "R.F.S.," "Zh.A.Z.," "K.E.," "R.V.G.," and "M.A.A.," all of whom are leaders and employees of the mentioned rehabilitation centers. They were placed in custody by the court.

During further inspections, two cases of patient deaths were also confirmed at the "Bishkek-Maik" center. Currently, the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic is conducting operational-search activities to clarify all the details of these tragic events in order to provide a legal assessment of what happened.
