At a recent meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with issues of science, education, innovative development, information technology, culture, sports, and youth affairs, the deputies expressed dissatisfaction with the absence of the Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration Ainura Orozobekova.
The main topic of discussion was supposed to be the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts in the Field of Labor, Social Security, and the Repeal of Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic," where Orozobekova was scheduled to speak as a reporter.
During the meeting, a government representative proposed to postpone the consideration of the draft law due to Orozobekova's delay.
The chairwoman of the committee, Toktobubu Ashymbekova, noted that such situations occur regularly.
Deputy Gulai Mashrapova emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable for a public servant and pointed out that the Deputy Minister's disregard for the Jogorku Kenesh only highlights her true attitude. She suggested not only postponing the discussion of the issue but also discussing the possibility of holding the Deputy Minister accountable.
As a result, the deputies decided to postpone the discussion of the draft law to another day.
