The purpose of the meeting was to address issues related to the development of the sewing industry and support for socially oriented sectors of the economy.
As a result of the discussion, key directions were identified to solve pressing problems:
- access to financing for logistics corridors;
- improvement of export conditions;
- issues related to attracting foreign specialists;
- creation of a modern industry laboratory.
Context of the situation:
As reported by representatives of the sewing industry, starting from September 15, 2025, Russian authorities launched inspections of light industry products coming from Kyrgyzstan.
Against the backdrop of these inspections, entrepreneurs reported the closure of "at least 4-5 thousand sewing workshops." At the same time, this information was denied by representatives of the Cabinet.
