In addition, the construction of a transcontinental railway has begun, the laying of the Balykchy – Kochkor railway line continues with plans for its further extension, and the construction of a new road along the route Torugart – Kazarman has also started.
Speaking at the board meeting, Edil Baisalov emphasized the strategic importance of the Naryn region for the future of Kyrgyzstan:
“The new highways for rail and road being created at the initiative of the president open fundamentally new opportunities for the development of the richest deposits of coal, iron ore, bauxite, rare earth elements, and other minerals in the Tien Shan mountains. The leadership of the region and all state bodies have been tasked with ensuring the systematic development of these resources and the establishment of the largest industrial enterprises in the country here. In the coming years, the Naryn region will become one of the key industrial centers of Kyrgyzstan and one of the most dynamically developing regions of the country,” he emphasized.
